Information Governance and Telemedicine - this unit explores the role that telemedicine will play in a re-engineered wide area health service with the potential for remote, domiciliary and robotic care service provision. The need for and role of an Information Governance function is discussed in the context of the development of eHealth systems and services. The unit also reviews selected wide area (national) health information networking initiatives, particularly those of New Zealand and the United Kingdom as exemplars. The way in which all these changes to the ways in which health care services are managed and delivered can radically change the patterns and power structures in healthcare delivery. HI203-015 must be completed prior to enrolment in this course.
