Expert Systems and Data Warehouses in Healthcare - thousands of expert systems have been developed for use in medical care, many of which have been successful, at least up to a point. This module explores how accumulations of health data are warehoused and mined to extract the knowledge required for expert systems, and how that knowledge can be embedded into useable systems which will work in support of clinical care. Understating this will enable to student to perceive these systems as an aid rather than a threat. HI203-13 must be completed prior to enrolment in this course.
