Data Collections - for Care, Management, Audit and Research - consideration of the key issues concerned in setting up a data collection system for audit and research purposes. Data is collected in many places for many purposes but all too often fails to satisfy those purposes as a consequence of a basic failure to consider how the data will be used, and how it will be collected before embarking on the project. This unit outlines some of the important dimensions of good data collection methodology, and considers also whether it would be best to use a database or spreadsheet for the work. HI203-03 & HI203-REG are pre-requisites to enrolment in this course.
